When we look at all those pictures where models are advertising sports attire, it seems that life is just not fair.

They look absolutely fabulous while lifting heavy weights or running on a treadmill, but most people look like they survived a flood during a workout.

However, before you start beating yourself down, do not forget that all those photos are staged.

Those models wear heavy makeup, their wardrobe is perfectly coordinated and the only heat they felt was when they were getting their hair blow-dried.

Although those photos do not capture reality, there are actually some ways you can look and feel your best while you are working out.

Stay comfortable

No matter how sexy they are, if your undergarments do not fit you properly, you won’t feel very comfortable and that will impact your self-esteem.

Therefore, when you are picking sports bras and underwear, make sure you look for functional, leak-proof pieces that will ensure you feel at the top of your game.

Let your skin breathe

If you decide to go to the gym with your makeup on, you will look good for about ten minutes.

For the rest of your workout, you will look like a Halloween costume. Therefore, apply only waterproof mascara to enhance the eyes and, if you must, a touch of lip-gloss.

Forget about heavy foundation and blush since these products can only clog your pores.

Get fabulous gym wear

Gym attire is not what it used to be. Instead of wearing a frumpy sweatshirt and your old leggings, shop for funky patterned gym wear.

Get out of your comfort zone and do not buy everything in black color. Nowadays, everything from tank tops to sneakers comes in bold colors, so create your own fabulous combination.

You can also accessorize with a cool gym bag or even add some bling to your outfit with gemstone jewelry pieces. You can rock stud earrings or a discrete necklace with a gem pendant. If you wish to check out other options, you can see more here.

Stick to a simple hairstyle

Your perfect curls or your perfectly straight hair won’t stay that way after a hard workout.

If you wish to look put together the whole time, opt for grateful hairstyles that will keep your hair in place, such as a bun or a ponytail. You can even braid your hair and will look amazing even after 20 minutes on a treadmill.

Listen to your favorite tunes

It has been proven that listening to your favorite songs can easily boost your confidence and motivate you to push harder.

Therefore, crank up your favorite tunes, forget about your problems for a bit, relax and focus only on exercising. This way you will not only keep your body in shape but also benefit your mind.

Plan your workouts

If you are already investing time and money into your workouts, make them count. Don’t just go to the gym and move randomly from one piece of equipment to another.

If you really wish to achieve the best results, lose weight, or tone up, you need to have a plan. Do some research and take time to create a workout plan that will help you with your goal.

If you are not sure whether you will know how to do this, you can always hire a personal trainer who will make a plan tailored to your needs.

Wear a deodorant

Sweating is a completely normal part of working out, but that doesn’t mean you need to smell. With a good deodorant and fresh, citrus notes you won’t fumigate the gym.

Follow these guidelines and you will look and feel your best, even when you are working out.
