In this modern age, there have been great advances in technology in every aspect of the world. So, keep reading and find out more about the best cooling mattress technology that’s risen in 2022.

Cooling Gels

Cooling gels are one of the most popular options when it comes to creating a bed that won’t cause you to overheat. You may see gel mattresses listed as gel memory foam or cool gel mattresses, as they make use of both gel and foam to craft the perfect cooling bed. By combining the cooling gel with memory foam, your body can sink into the mattress and be kept cool all over. Memory foam on its own can get quite hot, so adding the cooling gels can make a difference. They won’t make you too cold either, as they only help to regulate your body temperature, not lower it too much. They work by dissipating the heat that your body releases and absorbing moisture, allowing you to cool down naturally and get a much better quality of sleep.

Mattress Toppers

If you don’t want to replace your whole mattress, you could just get a cooling topper instead. You can easily get a mattress topper to fit your bed no matter the size, and they’re extremely easy to put on. The cooling technology of these toppers works similarly to the gel in the mattresses, except it can be felt much easier when you place your hand on it. Being cool to the touch means that you’ll feel the benefits as soon as you lay down on it, and it won’t take long to reach your optimal body temperature. These toppers are also extremely breathable and help to wick away any sweat created during the night. This great ventilation allows your body to cool down and stay that way no matter how hot the temperature is outside.

Air and Water Cooling Systems

If you want something a little more high-tech, then you can actually go for an air or water-based cooling system. Air-based systems are usually external pieces of kit that go at the bottom of your bed and then have a nozzle that connects to the corner of it. The cool air is then pushed up into your mattress and enables you to stay cool all night. A lot of the time, these double up as heaters too, so if the winter nights do become unbearably cold even for you, then you can flip the switch and heat up your bed instead.

Water cooling systems work a little differently, but they’re just as good as air-based ones. Typically, the water-based coolers come as toppers for your mattress that are connected to a water system placed on the floor. The system then pushes the cool water into the topper, cooling you down instantly. You don’t have to worry about it feeling like a waterbed either, as it will simply feel like a slightly cool sensation underneath you. You won’t be bobbing about on a bouncy waterbed! Both of these systems are pretty cheap to run as well, so they won’t push your energy bill at all.

There are lots of ways you can stay cool at night, but you might not always want to use a fan or leave your windows open all night. Making the most of mattress cooling technology is a great way to prevent yourself from overheating, and the new options can be a lot cheaper than you think. So, if you find yourself overheating each night, make sure you try out the latest cooling technology and you’ll get the best night’s sleep of your life!
